ABOUT BAP

Following the attitude shown during the production of "Oltre", on Saturday 23rd January 2010, Luca and Francesco from STEARICA invited a bunch of friends following the way traced during the recording of the album in which a lot of important International musicians recorded together with the Turin trio (among the others, Dalek, Amy Denio, Jessica Lurie, Ramon Moro e Nick Storring).
The brand new project is called BAP - Banda dell'Ascolto Profondo – inspired by "Branchie", the brilliant literary debut by the Italian writer Niccolò Ammaniti.
Just like in the novel, the musician performed in the subsoil of a metropolis: this time BAP performed in Cripta 747, art gallery deep in the heart of Torino (Italy), underneath Porta Palazzo, a vibrant area which has always been crossroads of different cultures.

BAP is formed by members of STEARICA, NOIR, AVVOLTE, FRANZ GORIA (Fluxus/Petrol), RAMON MORO (3Quietman, Fluxus), ANDREA SEREN ROSSO, Daniele Gili aka SOUL CHETTE WYNDE (ex My Cat is An Alien), Marcello CONTRITE/ANOTHER NAKED LUNCH, all together for one night.

No rehearsals. Nothing written. Everyone protagonist of a spontaneous performance in which the structure of the gallery itself was an "instrument" that characterized the performance sound, and the musicians and their instruments were an integral part of the layout of the art gallery.
The audience was formed by onlookers, musicians and music lovers, art dealers, intellectuals, audiologists and speleologists or simply a lot of crazy people.
BAP presented a unique performance considering the importance of the improvisation and the extemporaneousness of the line-up but, with this recording HOMEOPATHIC wants to leave a trace of a diverse night which we hope is the dawn of something more durable.
